We are Nadia and Patrick, a German couple who fell in love with the Alaskan Huskies and the beautiful nature of Scandinavia.

After working and travelling in different places in Finland, Sweden and Norway, we finally settled down in Swedish Lapland to found our own kennel - Kennel Lumi.

Both of us had successful jobs back in Germany, but that wasn't enough to be happy in life. Our journey started in Finland, were we worked from winter 2011 - summer 2013 at the Eräkeskus Wilderness Lodge as Huskyguides and Allrounders. After that we've travelled 5 months through Scandinavia with our camper and already retired Nevada. We looked at several job opportunities for the winter season 2013/2014 and decided to work as Kennelmanager in Kiruna for Explore The North. Before starting the new job in Sweden, we went back to Finland to buy Lumi - our very first working dog - from Eräkeskus.

We bred Lumi to Wilmer from Explore The North and got two female puppies - Salt & Pepa - on the 1st of January 2014. In the end of the season we got a good offer to buy some of the dogs we had worked with from Petter Karlsson, winner of the famous 'La Grande Odyssée' in 2008 and the nothernmost and longest european sleddog race 'Finnmarksløpet' in 2016. We took the decision to buy property in Sweden, fill up the number of dogs with some dogs from Explore The North and get started with our own pack of Alaskan Huskies

In May 2014 we moved to Suddesjaur where we built the kennel during the summer season. For the next three winter seasons years it became our beloved home where we fist started with our own tourist business. Now we are living in Mårdsjö close to Dorotea and the mountains.
